Academic Awards

Honor Roll:

The following are the criteria a student must meet to be eligible for the regular Honor Roll:

• Maintain a 3.0 grade point average for the specific grading period on either the weighted or unweighted scale
• Not receive a “D” or “F” on the report card for the specific grading period

Principal's Honor Roll

The following are the criteria a student must meet to be eligible for the Principal's Honor Roll. This is determined on a semester basis:

• weighted 4.000+ GPA
• enrolled in seven credit-bearing courses
• no incompletes or withdrawals
• B or better in all courses
• P in any pass/fail courses

Academic Letter

The following are the criteria a student must meet to be eligible for an academic letter. This is determined on a yearly basis:

• weighted 3.800+ GPA for the previous 3 semesters in Blue Valley
• enrolled in seven courses for all previous 3 semesters
• no incompletes or withdrawals
• B or better in all courses
• P in any pass/fail courses
